People 1st - Women 1st - Book Your Place Now!
People 1st is pleased to announce the next series of development programmes for female managers as part of the Women 1st initiative, which aims to boost the number of women advancing to senior positions in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industry, giving a further 300 women the opportunity to benefit from subsidised training and mentoring.
People 1st has obtained additional government funding for the programme, enabling businesses to benefit from this excellent training package at just 15 percent of the full cost.
Places are now available on the following programmes:
•Step Up - a series of six, one-day CPD sessions, run over a period of six months, which take women through a sustainable, long-term transformation in their leadership abilities (165 places available) - cost £300
•Leadership Network - giving women the opportunity to benefit from one-to-one mentoring with the sector's highest performers (90 places available) - cost £200
•Female Chefs' Development programme - bespoke chef training for women, addressing the skills gaps that present barriers to career progression and development and helping them to work in more skilled positions (45 places available) - cost £300
People 1st originally launched the Women 1st programme in 2009 after research found that, despite the fact that women make up almost 60 percent of the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism workforce, only six percent of board-level directors are female. The programme has an excellent track record - it has been nominated for a national Charity Award for training and feedback from delegates and businesses alike has been overwhelmingly positive
The next programme of Women 1st training will take place between June 2011 and March 2012. To find out how your business can benefit from this subsidised training, visit www.people1st.co.uk/women1st
