06/06/2011 The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is now an operational reality with over 8,000 vocational qualifications available and 53 per cent confirmed for public funding. The first

annual refresh of the online list of QCF qualifications has been completed as part of confirming funding for a further period until 31 July 2012.

For the last twelve months the focus has been on ensuring a comprehensive QCF vocational offer. Qualifications will continue to be added to the QCF over the next twelve months and, where appropriate, confirmed for funding for a period to end July 2012.

Only in very exceptional circumstances will any in year qualification funding status changes be made, and changes will need to be formally approved by the Agency's Strategic Approvals Panel and require support of both the Association of Colleges and the Association of Learning Providers. Qualifications that have been confirmed for funding are published on the Skills Funding Agency website.
